	I wrote a book when I was 12, but Scholastic never even responded when I mailed it to them. I even illustrated it!

	I saw Lou Brock set the record for single-season base stealing at Busch Stadium in 1974.

	Some folks join the navy to see the world; I took a job in history museums and have lived in eight states and a foreign country as a consequence.
